Thousand Islands Sudinkes Monitors Environmental Sanitation

Thousand Islands Health Sub-department (Sudinkes) socialized and educated resorts owners and management about prevention of coronavirus transmission, as well as monitored the environmental sanitation in resort islands from Tuesday (3/3) to Wednesday (3/4).  

We educate all resort islands occupants regarding coronavirus symptoms and prevent its transmission

Thousand Islands Sudinkes Head, Herwin Meifendy said, through environmental sanitation monitoring, his side made sure there are health clinic in resort islands, handwashing areas and hand sanitizers, body temperature gun, and others.

"We educate all resort islands occupants regarding coronavirus symptoms and prevent its transmission by washing hand properly and how to overcome the situation when there are findings of the case," he explained.

Several resort islands that have been monitored are Macan Island, Pelangi Island, Sepa Island and Putri Island. His side plans to continue this monitoring to other resort islands that often visited by local and foreign tourists.

"We hope it can facilitate the locals thus coronavirus transmission can be prevented in Thousand Islands," he asserted
